The formerly nonexistent RSS feed for this site
Do you think I even know what the heck RSS is? Rest assured, I do not.
So when I got a message yesterday from nomig, saying lovely things about the blog but pointing out that my "RSS feed was no longer validating," I sprang right into action in an executive stylee: I forwarded the message to Sean, The All-Knowing Tech Person, and I went right back to sleep.
Sean examined the situation in depth, and let me know that my regrettable habit of cutting and pasting text directly from other sources on the web had injected bad code into my posts, disabling my RSS feed. The solution, apparently, was for me to go through the suspect posts and re-do the curly quotes and other punctuations that were buggering things up.
Who knew? I still don't, but my RSS feed (WTF?) is now apparently working, if you were interested in that sort of thing, whatever it is.
Thanks to nomig for bringing this to my attention, and Sean, for putting me on the trail of suspect punctuation.
And of course, my apologies to all of you who had written off my RSS feed for dead. You may now (I think) RSS to your heart's content.
