On not talking to the police. About anything. ever. under any circumstances.

On not talking to the police. About anything. ever. under any circumstances.

An enlightening lecture (long; 47 minutes) delivered by law professor James Duane. I snatched these from boing-boing.

I'm somewhat conflicted about the source, as Professor Duane teaches at Regent University, a sort of know-nothing educational institution founded by mega-schmuck Pat Robertson. The institution's most famous graduate is Monica Goodling, the bimbo who did so much to turn the US Department of Justice into a clubhouse for knuckle-dragging right-wing lawyers who believed George W. Bush answers to no one.

The second half of the lecture (21 min.) comes from an actual police officer, George Bruch. Perhaps not quite so well delivered as Duane's good advice, it's an excellent complement.

Why no officer, I don't believe I'll be saying anything until I've obtained counsel. And yes, I do mind if you come in and just have a look around...
